    • How does AgePass verify age at a pickup locker?

      AgePass verifies the customer’s age with a face scan on their phone, before the locker opens. The customer scans the QR code displayed on the locker, which opens the age verification web page on their phone, then centres their face on the screen, guided by the camera. Verification is automatic, and the opening authorisation is only sent to the locker once the age is validated. AgePass verifies age only, not the customer’s identity.

    • Do customers need to install an app to use AgePass?

      No, AgePass requires no app. Once the QR code is scanned, a web page opens directly on the customer’s phone, where the age verification takes place.

    • How long does AgePass age verification take?

      AgePass age verification takes a few seconds and is fully automatic, with no human involvement: the customer centres their face on their phone screen and AgePass validates their age before opening the locker.

    • What happens if the customer is under the required age?

      If AgePass does not validate the customer’s age, the locker stays closed and the product cannot be collected.

    • Which age thresholds can AgePass check?

      The AgePass age threshold can be set to one of seven levels: over 8, 13, 16, 18, 21, 25 or 30. The locker only opens if the face scan validates the chosen level.

    • How much does AgePass cost?

    • Do I need to change my lockers or software to use AgePass?

      No. AgePass integrates via API, with no overhaul of your information system and without replacing existing lockers or kiosks. For the customer, the only added step is the face scan and verification, which takes just a few seconds.

    • How long does it take to integrate AgePass?

      Integrating AgePass takes from a few days to a few weeks depending on the size of the locker or pickup point network, with a dedicated AgePass team at every step.

    • How can I prove that an age check was carried out at pickup?

      AgePass timestamps and archives every step of the pickup (scan, verification, opening, handover) as compliance evidence, with a timestamped token for each handover. This evidence is stored with protected access, and the compliance log can be exported for an audit.

    • Is AgePass right for my business?
